GOOD(?) NEWS PARA-TEN AND LATE BLOOMING ARE BACK ONLINE
If you didn’t know, they are some webcomics I did. Para-Ten is finished and it’s a few years old and I did Late Blooming last year but it’s unfinished and I am redoing it. Anyways if you’re interested you can read them now (the sites were down for a while).

Redesigning Neeka slightly, to be closer to 28-30, and with some other plot/personality details in mind. Maybe have her play guitar instead of violin(which is also relevant to the revised plot). Forgot the strap so i guess she’s just real strong.
Don’t know if she looks much older drawing wise, but I’ll get there.

I thought of a better way to tell “Late Blooming” finally that will better express the ideas I was going for as well as the narrative I had, although it’ll probably change a bit (a lot). So I felt like drawing her real quick, but I don’t know when I will work on it again. When I do, it’ll be redone and not a continuation of what I had before.
Also have you read thunderpaw?? I really like it. Usually I’m bad at keeping up with webcomics but I keep checking up on this one and I’ve reread the few pages there at least three times by now.. haha.

I decided to take a break from Late Blooming for a while, but I figured I should do a painting of Neeka to leave up on the site to announce this.
I have more details of the story I want to clear up before I just pursue it for the sake of drawing a comic or having a project to show people. I’ve already proven to myself that I can draw comics, and complete a story, and I think I should spend more time crafting the story into something I can really believe in and be proud of, rather than just fulfill a numeric value of updates per week. Next time I think I’d like to thumbnail out the rest of the story before I get started so I can step back and look at the whole, edit it, and work on it with confidence.
Plus, I’ve been really wanting to animate more lately, and I’ve felt the call to write and develop other projects (such as Robin in the City and some short stories). So that’s what I’m going to do for now. I’ll probably come back to the comic once I feel it is ready. It might be soon, it might be later, it might be the same story or something completely re-imagined. We’ll see, but I know that for now, I have to work on other things. I might write up a longer post later for the website.
