"Explain It!" featuring Mike natale
Ok everyone, I’m going to start a new comic series of strips called, “Explain It! featuring Mike Natale” or “Mike Natale Explain’s It”
But I need your help. Each time I make a strip, I’m going to pick a subject/theme and I want you people to submit questions to my ask box related to that theme.
Then my pal Mike will pick his favourite question (or...

You're aware of everything around you, and what you're goals are. You're storytelling and carefree personality is really admirable. KEEP ON GOING WILL.!

Dear tumblr,
if you ask me some questions I will probably answer them.
I ( not so) secretly love questions, but I don’t get many.
It’s dangerous though, because I’m sort of like a soda that someone shook up. Take the top off and I just overflow, and there’s no telling when I’ll stop.

i thought it would be something like that. i just noticed that you’re able to get your final painting edges very clean. any tips on how to do such a thing?
I tend to use the colour picker and go back and forth between two colours to sort of sculpt the edges.
The most important thing for me is working at a high resolution, so that I can slow down and zoom in close to get the...

are your sketches, lines, and colors on different layers?
Oy, I usually paint on three layers: a rough sketch layer, a layer under that for rough colours, and then a layer on top for doing the final painting.
Sometimes I’ll make extra layers if I want to try something out without worrying, but once I do the rough colours and sketch I work like it’s all on one...

frigandier asked: Hihihi. <3 I've been following your stuff since I found out about Para-Ten from Happle Tea, and I was wondering if I could draw you a small Valentines' picture! Your style is just so darn distinctive, and I just love everything about your works- so I thought I might show a little of my appreciation for your stuff like this. Please let me know if I can draw you anything, like a...

We can't just do everything for ourselves
We don’t need politics, we just need to care for each other.
People looking out for themselves exclusively seems to be the root of a lot of political and social problems.
Every time I hear someone on the street talking about Ayn Rand I want to punch them. Atlas Shrugged? More like Atlas gave everyone an excuse to be selfish bastards.
I’m not saying we need to donate to charity or...

It’s true, man. I haven’t had an “art block” in like 5 or 6 years, and the idea is almost crazy to me now…. the reason is, 5 or 6 years ago, I started drawing comics, I started thinking of stories. Bill Watterson said, “the mind is...

Watch my cat run around while I play a song.
I was recording this to warm up my voice/get used to being in front of a camera, because I needed to record a brief introductory video for a job application.
As a result it’s not great (forgot chords a lot) but I watched it and there was A KITTY.

Anonymous asked: I don't think that theory is useless, I just think it is more like a credible theory for studying some particular cultures than a general rule applicable to all of them.
Don't just say you're wrong, dammit! You know, thesis-antithesis-synthesis, i have an idea, you tell me why it wont do, and i try to adapt it so it will, over and over until it's perfect!!

Anonymous asked: I don't mean to be rude or anything but that theory is very antiquated... it was a way to explain why europe (and the us to some extent) were so more advanced and civilized than other places such as latin america and africa - which were called "lazy" because they were "blessed" with warm weather and abundant food, or “cursed” with too harsh a climate....
